About The Position

Tellworks, a growing 3PL provider, is seeking a seasoned warehouse and operations leader for its USA Parkway location. The Senior Operations Warehouse Manager develops and leads a team responsible for employee performance, inventory, transportation, and the quality, accuracy, and timely delivery of shipped orders. The role also creates and promotes a culture focused on safety, respectful and equitable team development, creative problem solving, and strict housekeeping policies.

The manager helps develop and manage a comprehensive facility strategy, assesses requirements and deliverables, and uses resources to address process problems. The role leads production and sequencing operations for the entire plant or shift, drives continuous improvement, reviews action plans, and ensures productivity, quality, and customer service standards are met. The manager also oversees employee onboarding and training and serves as a role model for the department in support of company values.

Requirements

• At least 8 years of leadership experience managing a high-daily-volume facility.
• At least 8 years of progressive experience and demonstrated success as a supervisor, shift manager, or operations manager.
• Experience in all aspects of warehouse management, including inbound, put away, shipping, transportation, inventory management, and returns.
• At least 3 years of project management experience.
• Excellent talent management and team-building skills.
• Excellent verbal, non-verbal, and written communication skills.
• Ability to handle changing priorities and exercise good judgment in stressful situations.
• Understanding of IT processes to facilitate coordination between IT and Operations when necessary.
• Ability and availability to work irregular or extended hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.

Responsibilities

• Assist with developing and managing a comprehensive facility strategy by shaping requirements, assessing deliverables, and using resources to eliminate process problems.
• Analyze processes and implement improvements to enhance efficiency.
• Drive continuous improvements in safety, quality, cost, and delivery while growing and expanding warehouse capabilities.
• Review and prepare action plans while ensuring productivity, quality, and customer service standards are met.
• Manage production and sequencing operations for the entire plant or shift.
• Lead from outside the production floor by observing, analyzing, questioning, discussing, teaching, learning, and leading others to improve operational performance.
• Ensure new employees are properly onboarded, complete required paperwork, and follow a structured training schedule.
• Serve as a role model for the department in support of the corporate mission, vision, and values.
