About The Position

The Senior Operations Technology Specialist designs, develops, maintains, and optimizes technology systems supporting construction operations from Virtual Design and Construction (VDC) through fabrication and field installation. The role combines software engineering, solution architecture, construction technology, and technical leadership. It evaluates operational challenges, makes technology decisions, develops sustainable software, and mentors developers. The specialist partners with VDC, Fabrication, Field Operations, Engineering, Estimating, IT, and software vendors to reduce manual work, improve data quality, and connect systems across the project lifecycle. Key first-year priorities include establishing a technical strategy; delivering reliable production software; advancing Autodesk and fabrication automation; connecting platforms and using model data; strengthening development and release practices; and building technical capability across the team. The position reports directly to the Detailing Superintendent and works across departments and organizational levels to improve construction technology, project delivery, and operational performance, including healthcare-related projects and initiatives. The role is based at the company's Kent office.
