Senior Operations Manager (Operations Manager I)
About The Position
As a Senior Operations Manager (Operations Manager I) at DHL Supply Chain, you will help ensure the smooth and efficient operation of warehouses and implement processes to optimize warehouse operations. You will guide and develop teams, foster a safe and productive work environment, and contribute to the success of DHL Supply Chain. The role is part of an organization with more than 500 facilities, over 50,000 associates, and more than 150 million square feet of warehouse space across North America. The organization has a business casual environment and focuses on teamwork, associate development, training, and continuous improvement. The position is onsite.
Requirements
- At least 1 year of logistics industry experience.
- At least 2 years of supervisory or management experience.
Nice To Haves
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
- Experience with P&L management, objective setting, and project management.
Responsibilities
- Lead, motivate, coach, and develop Supervisors and indirect reports while building an inclusive team culture.
- Develop and implement efficient workflows and labor plans, standardize processes, and introduce best practices to enhance productivity, reduce costs, and improve operational efficiency.
- Uphold health and safety regulations and foster heightened safety awareness throughout the organization.
- Compile reports on key performance indicators, including productivity and accuracy metrics, to support informed decisions and continuous improvement.
- Promote open communication and collaboration among leadership and associates.
- Partner with Human Resources and site leadership on the hiring process for Supervisors, providing input and recommendations to support candidate selection.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to fulfill customer orders consistently and promptly.
- Partner with customers and address concerns or issues to support exceptional customer satisfaction.
