About The Position
The Senior Operations Manager (Operations Manager I) is responsible for ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of warehouses at DHL Supply Chain. The role implements processes to optimize warehouse operations and leads teams to foster a safe, productive, inclusive, and collaborative work environment. The manager supports operational success and customer satisfaction while contributing to continuous improvement. DHL Supply Chain North America operates more than 500 facilities, employs over 50,000 associates, and manages over 150 million square feet of warehouse space. The organization emphasizes teamwork, associate development, training, and continuous improvement in a business-casual environment.
Requirements
- At least 1 year of logistics industry experience.
- At least 2 years of experience in a supervisory or management role.
Nice To Haves
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
- Experience with P&L management, objective setting, and project management.
Responsibilities
- Lead, motivate, coach, develop, and support Supervisors and indirect reports, while building a culture of inclusion and belonging.
- Develop and implement efficient workflows, labor plans, standardized processes, and best practices to increase productivity, reduce costs, and improve operational efficiency.
- Uphold health and safety regulations and promote safety awareness throughout the organization.
- Compile reports on key performance indicators, including productivity and accuracy metrics, to support decisions and continuous improvement.
- Promote open communication and collaboration between leadership and associates.
- Partner with Human Resources and site leadership on Supervisor hiring, providing input and recommendations to select candidates aligned with organizational values, culture, and job requirements.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to fulfill customer orders consistently and promptly, exceeding customer expectations.
- Partner with customers and proactively address concerns or issues to achieve exceptional customer satisfaction.
