About The Position

Abode Money is hiring an autonomous, data-oriented operations leader to work closely with the CEO. The role leads new market launches from ambiguity through live operations and owns property tax appeals filing at scale. It involves building playbooks and systems, overseeing contractors, translating operational and regulatory insights into product requirements, and driving high-impact problems to completion. The position is based in Austin, with relocation acceptable, and requires working in person five days a week.

Requirements

At least 3 years of experience in consulting, banking, product, operations, or early-stage startups.
Experience taking projects from idea to execution independently.
Proficiency with AI tools such as ChatGPT and Claude, and data tools such as Excel or Sheets and SQL.
Ability to make confident decisions with imperfect information.
Action-oriented and low-ego.
Based in Austin or willing to relocate; able to work in person five days a week.

Responsibilities

Lead new market launches from ambiguity to execution, building playbooks and systems to scale.
Own appeals filing across counties, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance, and manage a team of 5+ contractors.
Translate customer pain points, contractor workflows, and county-specific edge cases into clear product requirements.
Research local property tax rules, write customer-facing guides, and communicate local nuances to product and engineering.
Take on high-impact ambiguous problems and drive them to completion with urgency and data.
