About The Position

As Senior Occupancy Planner, you will be responsible for providing strategic occupancy planning expertise, leveraging a deep understanding of our client’s space supply and demand to develop scenario and occupancy plans for our client's portfolio in a designated region.

Requirements

  • Expert level data analytical skills and ability to articulate stories through data

  • Highly organized and demonstrates a high level of performance in project budgeting and scheduling
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel (pivot table, vlook-up, cell calculations)
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Ability to consolidate data and floor plans into PowerPoint Presentations
  • Excellent communication skills – both written and spoken
  • Strong interpersonal skills, able to understand complex ideas and communicate them to others
  • Ability to interact with executive-level external and internal clients

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with CAFM / IWMS software
  • Proficient in space planning and AutoCAD
  • A working knowledge of occupancy utilization, office design principles and trends such as the mobile or collaborative workplace is preferred
  • Tech savvy with Google Suite, Power BI, IWMS/CAFM and AutoCAD
  • A Bachelor's Degree in Architecture, Design, Construction Management, or related field is preferred

Responsibilities

  • Fostering relationships with Corporate Real Estate, Business Unit leadership, Corporate Finance, Project management, Move coordination and facility management teams, and other members of the occupancy planning team.
  • Managing the development of occupancy plans, sequencing group-level and individual moves, and resolving planning issues identified during client planning sessions.
  • Ensuring the alignment of planning with corporate guidelines and that all scenarios maximize the use of space.
  • Recommending, educating, and enforcing space policies/standards, procedures, and protocols.
  • Notifying the client of customer-requested exceptions, and assisting in developing site-specific Planning Strategies with Senior Leadership.
  • Acting as a Subject Matter Expert in the client's workplace program and in using data to drive solutions that increase productivity.
  • Being a leader in the Occupancy Planning and account team, modeling superior client relationship management and strategic thinking.
  • Getting familiar with space utilization methods and the presentation of utilization data.
  • Identifying space requirements and preparing and updating project status reports on actual versus projected seat demand at the building level.
  • Reporting on current supply and capacity, forecasting inventory changes as required, and working with the client to reconcile any discrepancies from top-down projections.
  • Asking the right questions to understand our clients' underlying needs.
  • Working independently, multi-tasking, and managing time to meet deadlines.
  • Reorganizing daily schedules to deal with changing necessities and requests.
  • Being proactive and innovative in developing solutions with stakeholders and driving their implementation.
  • Using software to support planning solutions and communicate ideas clearly with the planning team and client.
