About The Position

The Senior National Account Manager will be responsible for leading the Dog Food and Treats business with Walmart and Sam’s Club, driving profitable sales growth, market share expansion, and achievement of annual business objectives. This role develops and executes customer strategies, manages joint business planning, forecasting, and overall customer P&L performance, while partnering cross-functionally with demand planning, category management, marketing, and leadership teams. This is a full-time, in-office position based in Bentonville, AR, as required by company leadership.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Sales, Marketing, or a related field is required
  • 5+ years of consumer-packaged goods (CPG) retail sales experience
  • 3+ years of Walmart/Sams Club experience with demonstrated success
  • Dog Food and/or Treat category experience
  • Proven front‑line sales leadership experience; must have directly owned customer relationships and delivered against sales targets.
  • Proven retail analytic application & management capabilities, i.e. syndicated data (Nielsen and/or IRI), customer specific data, Luminate/Scintilla, and annual customer planning required
  • Category Management and Customer/Trade Marketing/SRM (RGM) experience
  • Strong Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Excel & Word) capabilities
  • Ability to travel up to 15%

Responsibilities

  • Deliver the operating plan - Achievement of customer growth and profit objectives. Market share, operating profit, ROI in Trade
  • Develop sales strategy - Recommend and set priorities as part of segment review process.
  • Manage joint business plan development and execution, including annual collaborative planning meetings
  • Manage overall customer P&L
  • Responsible for sales forecast. Leveraging S&OP best practices and tools in partnership with the demand planning team
  • Leverage internal resources to support business objectives (i.e., category management, customer support, shopper marketing, omni-commerce and consumer marketing)
  • Develop and execute breakthrough customer engagement plans, connecting leadership between customers and senior leadership at Inaba
  • Perform other related duties and tasks assigned
