About The Position

CMTA, a Legence company, is seeking an experienced Senior Engineer to join its rapidly expanding Energy Solutions division in Pennsylvania. This role involves leading all phases of performance contracts for clients, from initial concept to completion, acting as the main point of contact. The position requires a self-motivated individual with a strong technical background, particularly in HVAC design and commissioning, who can contribute to business growth by identifying new opportunities, nurturing client relationships, and leading technical aspects of projects. The successful candidate will be instrumental in driving CMTA's success in the performance contracting market.

Requirements

• Minimum 5 years of experience with an Energy Services company OR a consulting engineering/commissioning firm.
• Must have undergrad degree in engineering from ABET accredited university.
• Current work authorization in the U.S.

Responsibilities

• Introduce and explain performance contracting to potential clients, identifying opportunities where CMTA’s solutions can provide long-term value.
• Articulate how and why CMTA is unique in our approach to performance contracting, reinforcing our value proposition in both technical and financial terms.
• Build and maintain strong client relationships to foster repeat business, referrals, and long-term partnerships.
• Participate in business development efforts including client meetings, industry events, and proposal development.
• Lead the development phase including site visits, audits, and energy calculations.
• Direct the engineering design team in producing drawings and specifications.
• Direct the bidding process to ensure quality and competitive outcomes.
• Collaborate with the client to finalize the performance contract.
• Work with the construction manager to ensure a smooth construction period.
• Direct the commissioning process to validate performance.
• Support the client through the warranty phase as needed.
• Work with our Measurement & Verification (M&V) professional to develop the first-year M&V report.
• Demonstrate knowledge of Pennsylvania K-12 design-build procurement processes, ensuring alignment with state and district requirements.
