About The Position

As a Senior Meat Cutter, you will drive sales in your area to deliver to our members more of what they love, for less. You will work collaboratively with other associates to ensure the total club meets the member’s expectations. This role involves being an expert in meat products, driving business results, and acting as a talent ambassador for the department and the club. You will also be responsible for maintaining operational excellence, ensuring compliance with food safety standards, and assisting members with purchasing decisions. The position also emphasizes teamwork, integrity, and a commitment to serving customers and members.

Requirements

  • 6 months’ experience working in a fresh production department.
  • Must be 18 years of age or older.
  • Must successfully complete all job-required trainings and assessments within a prescribed time period if the position is received.

Responsibilities

  • Drive sales in the meat area to meet member expectations.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams and educate associates on tools, tasks, and resources.
  • Maintain in-depth knowledge of various meat products, equipment usage, and backroom operations.
  • Process meat products according to specifications (e.g., cutting, slicing, grinding, wrapping).
  • Ensure compliance with food safety standards, sanitation guidelines, and inventory management.
  • Operate, maintain, and sanitize equipment.
  • Leverage digital tools to drive sales, improve the shopping experience, and elevate associate engagement.
  • Utilize hand-held technology for immediate business decisions related to production, training, and product quality.
  • Drive business results and ensure commitment to operational excellence.
  • Plan for profitability and maintain a work area according to company policies and procedures.
  • Ensure quality and standards for high-volume meat products.
  • Eliminate waste and secure fragile and high-shrink merchandise.
  • Assist members with purchasing decisions and ensure merchandise is properly packaged, labeled, and stored.
  • Be an advocate for the department and the club, modeling high-quality service and products.
  • Interact with associates to understand roadblocks and assist in training them.
  • Comply with company policies, procedures, and standards of ethics and integrity.
  • Complete work assignments and priorities by using policies, data, and resources.
  • Collaborate with managers, coworkers, customers, and other business partners.
