About The Position

At Amcor, we're looking for a strategic marketer who can help shape the future of our business and the industries we serve. As our Senior Marketing Manager, you'll identify where the market is headed, uncover new growth opportunities, and build the strategies that position Amcor as the partner of choice within key market segments. You'll work across Sales, R&D, Product Management, Pricing, and Operations to turn customer insights into innovative solutions that drive revenue, profitability, and long-term growth. This is a highly visible role where you'll influence business strategy, launch new platforms and technologies, and help customers solve complex packaging challenges. You'll also have the opportunity to leverage Amcor's global capabilities, innovation platforms, and market expertise to create meaningful differentiation in the marketplace.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree required; MBA preferred
  • Experience in strategic marketing, product management, market development, or related commercial leadership roles
  • Experience launching new products, packaging materials, formats, or filling technologies
  • Proven business and financial acumen, including business case development and ROI analysis
  • Ability to influence cross-functional stakeholders, customers, and external partners
  • Experience developing and executing go-to-market and growth strategies
  • Knowledge of packaging sustainability, life cycle analysis, and carbon footprint considerations
  • Exceptional verbal, written, and presentation skills

Responsibilities

  • Become the expert on market segments, understanding customer needs, industry trends, competitive dynamics, and emerging opportunities.
  • Develop and execute segment strategies that accelerate growth and profitability.
  • Analyze market trends, customer purchasing behaviors, and competitive activity.
  • Identify market gaps, white-space opportunities, and new areas for expansion.
  • Build and manage a multi-generational innovation pipeline aligned to market needs.
  • Partner with Sales, Pricing, and Product Management to strengthen value propositions and improve profitability.
  • Support commercial initiatives that enhance plant performance and business results.
  • Lead initiatives that generate meaningful B2B and B2C insights, helping Amcor identify new opportunities and create solutions that resonate with the market.
  • Conduct Voice of Customer and Voice of Segment research.
  • Organize focus groups and customer interviews.
  • Perform ethnographic and demographic studies.
  • Analyze consumer and market trends.
  • Identify connections between consumer behavior and packaging needs.
  • Collaborate across Amcor businesses to develop compelling "One Amcor" value propositions.
  • Play a critical role in identifying, developing, and launching new packaging solutions that create value for customers and drive business growth.
  • Develop go-to-market strategies for targeted market segments.
  • Partner with R&D to build and prioritize the innovation pipeline.
  • Lead cross-functional teams through product development and stage-gate processes.
  • Support new product and platform launches from concept through commercialization.
  • Evaluate global technologies and innovation platforms that can be leveraged within your markets.
  • Collaborate across regions and business units to share best practices and drive growth.
  • Develop trusted relationships with customers and help them bring innovative packaging solutions to life.
  • Work directly with customers to create differentiated value propositions.
  • Support packaging innovation and commercialization efforts.
  • Partner with customers, equipment suppliers, and internal teams to launch new packaging formats and technologies.
  • Expand Amcor's presence and influence within strategic customer accounts.
  • Create scalable approaches that enable growth across targeted market segments.
