About The Position

Ecolab is seeking a senior leader to define product strategy, drive commercialization, and accelerate growth across its Life Sciences Digital portfolio. The role spans product management, product marketing, customer engagement, and business strategy. The successful candidate will partner with Digital, Commercial, R&D, and Life Sciences teams to shape portfolio direction, identify market opportunities, launch software solutions, and create differentiated value for pharmaceutical and biotechnology customers. The position will help influence a high-priority growth investment and establish Ecolab’s digital solutions across the life sciences industry. Within the first 12–24 months, the leader is expected to help define the portfolio’s strategic direction, launch and commercialize digital offerings, strengthen market positioning and customer adoption, improve growth and pipeline generation, and connect product strategy more closely with customer needs and commercial execution.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in science, engineering, business, computer science, or a related field.
10 years of experience in life sciences, software, industrial technology, or related industries.
5 years of experience in product management, product marketing, product strategy, portfolio management, or commercialization leadership.
Experience launching and growing software, SaaS, digital, data, or technology-enabled solutions.
Experience building business cases and influencing executive stakeholders.
Authorization to work in the United States.

Experience with SaaS business models and software commercialization.
Knowledge of pharmaceutical development, manufacturing, quality, validation, or contamination control processes.

Responsibilities

Define and execute growth strategies for the Life Sciences Digital portfolio.
Partner with product, engineering, commercial, and divisional leaders to prioritize investments and shape product roadmaps.
Identify customer needs, technology trends, and market opportunities to guide product strategy.
Develop business cases for new products, capabilities, partnerships, and business models.
Lead portfolio planning from concept through commercialization and drive strategic planning and portfolio reviews with executive leadership.
Identify revenue opportunities in SaaS, data-driven services, analytics, AI-enabled solutions, and digital platforms.
Develop an understanding of pharmaceutical and biotechnology customer workflows, challenges, and priorities.
Conduct customer discovery, market research, competitive analysis, and voice-of-customer programs; monitor market trends, competitive activity, and adoption patterns.
Translate customer insights into actionable product and commercial strategies.
Define product positioning, messaging, value propositions, pricing strategies, and commercialization plans.
Partner with sales, business development, and segment marketing teams to drive demand generation and pipeline growth.
Develop launch plans and enablement programs for new software offerings, measure commercialization effectiveness, and optimize go-to-market performance.
Identify portfolio gaps and growth opportunities; support strategic partnerships, acquisitions, and ecosystem opportunities.
Drive incubation and launch of new digital offerings and business models.
Help establish Ecolab as a recognized leader in Life Sciences digital innovation.
