About The Position

As a Senior Managing Partner in Gartner Consulting North America, you will advise the country’s most influential organizations on the decisions that will define their next decade. You will operate at the intersection of strategy, technology, and executive leadership, serving as a trusted advisor to CIOs, CEOs, and senior government leaders. Your role involves helping them navigate disruption, make high-stakes decisions, and leverage technology for growth, resilience, and transformation. You will own and expand a portfolio of Gartner’s most important clients, applying Gartner’s insights, benchmarking, and global expertise to their critical challenges. This role is particularly impactful in North America, where enterprises face pressures such as modernizing legacy environments, balancing digital acceleration with local compliance, deriving value from data, AI, and cloud investments, managing ecosystem complexity, and optimizing costs while maintaining quality and security. Gartner Consulting provides evidence-based decisions, benchmarks, and pragmatic execution to navigate this complexity.

Requirements

  • Proven background in a well-regarded consulting firm, balancing client delivery and revenue generation.
  • Strong foundation in technology problem-solving (architecture, analytics, engineering, or strategy roles).
  • Credibility across multiple IT domains.
  • Track record of leading teams with a strong collaboration mindset, influencing executives, and delivering outcomes.
  • Intellectual curiosity and the confidence to adapt Gartner’s frameworks to unique client situations.
  • Stamina and presence to juggle multiple senior-level client priorities without losing focus or quality.

Responsibilities

  • Advise senior executives to define technology strategies that enable business outcomes like growth, efficiency, innovation, and risk mitigation.
  • Lead consulting engagements grounded in Gartner insights, guiding clients from strategic planning to execution.
  • Help organizations modernize platforms, rationalize applications, migrate to cloud, unlock data and analytics, manage cyber risk, and optimize cost and sourcing.
  • Expand account portfolios and drive revenue growth through strategic relationship development and identifying/closing new opportunities.
  • Inspire, coach, and develop high-performing consultants.
  • Focus on Federal Civilian clients (Dept Energy, FAA, Transportation, Department of Health) to help modernize legacy environments in digital, data-driven markets.
