Senior Manager, Web Development
About The Position
ABC Fitness is hiring an AI-first web developer to build and operate the AI systems and agentic workflows that support web development, while reviewing and quality-gating their output. The role owns multiple web properties and the integration of legacy platforms into modern frameworks, including consolidating separate properties and building automation to keep sites running, publishing, and improving. The position involves designing and managing the AI system itself: determining what it builds, how its work is reviewed, which tasks are automated versus handled by people, and how the system evolves alongside the sites. It also includes maintaining web properties, leading migrations and consolidation, implementing production-quality front-end designs, running conversion optimization programs, maintaining marketing integrations, and partnering with Marketing, SEO, and Product Marketing.
Requirements
- Strong hands-on experience with modern frontend frameworks, including Next.js, Astro, React, and modern JavaScript/TypeScript.
- Experience migrating a legacy site, such as WordPress or similar, to a modern framework; greenfield-only experience is not sufficient.
- Experience consolidating multiple web properties into one, including redirects, information architecture, and SEO-safe migration.
- A track record of building AI-driven or agentic systems for web development, publishing, or QA that automate real workflows.
- Comfort using AI tools for design and prototyping, and turning AI output or designer files into shipped front-end code.
- Experience with CRO and multivariate/A-B testing tools such as VWO, Optimizely, or similar, including audience-based targeting.
- Working familiarity with GTM and marketing-stack integrations such as Marketo and Salesforce.
Nice To Haves
- Experience in a multi-brand or multi-property web environment.
- SEO/AEO literacy.
- Experience standing up an agentic coding pipeline, such as Claude Code, in a production environment.
Responsibilities
- Own development and maintenance across web properties built with modern frameworks such as Next.js, Astro, and React, as well as legacy WordPress platforms awaiting migration.
- Lead legacy-to-modern-framework migrations end to end, including full site refactors, while preserving SEO equity, tracking, and existing integrations.
- Plan and execute consolidation of separate web properties into one unified site, including content migration, redirect strategy, and information architecture.
- Build and manage AI-driven development systems and agentic workflows for page building, publishing, quality assurance, and routine site maintenance.
- Define and maintain the human review gate that AI-built work must pass through before going live.
- Use AI tools for front-end design and prototyping, and implement final designs from human designers as production-quality code.
- Build and run conversion rate optimization programs, including multivariate and A/B testing and serving different site experiences to visitor segments.
- Maintain tracking and integration health across GTM, including server-side GTM, Marketo, and Salesforce across web properties.
- Partner with Marketing, SEO, and Product Marketing on site structure, content, and page performance.
