About The Position

This position is for a Senior Manager, U.S. Media within the J&J Vision team, based in Jacksonville, FL. The role is hybrid and reports to the Sr. Director of Consumer Marketing. The purpose of this role is to lead the U.S. consumer and professional media strategy, ensuring media investment drives meaningful brand and business outcomes. This role will shape how media supports growth across the full journey, balancing long-term brand building with near-term performance, while evolving capabilities, partnerships, and ways of working.

Requirements

  • Minimum of a bachelor’s degree is required.
  • Minimum of 8 years business experience is required.
  • Minimum of 5 years progressive media and/or marketing experience is required.
  • Experience in media leadership across digital-first ecosystems (search, social, programmatic, video/CTV, commerce media), with full-funnel accountability.
  • Demonstrated ability to build and lead measurement frameworks that connect media to business outcomes.
  • Strong experience managing agencies and complex partner ecosystems.
  • Deep analytics orientation: comfortable with attribution concepts, measurement design, and KPI frameworks; able to influence senior stakeholders through data-driven storytelling.

Nice To Haves

  • MBA is preferred.
  • Experience in Consumer Health & Wellness industry is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Own the U.S. consumer and professional media vision, aligning media investment to business priorities and moments that matter across the customer journey.
  • Lead annual and quarterly media planning, portfolio allocation, and prioritization, grounded in insights, business needs, and performance learnings.
  • Establish a cohesive approach to media that aligns creative, channel, and audience strategies within a clear operating rhythm.
  • Guide the evolution of media channels and platforms to ensure strong presence, relevance, and effectiveness as consumer behaviors and media environments change.
  • Partner cross-functionally (Brand, Digital, Content, Commercial, Analytics) to ensure media strategies are integrated and complementary.
  • Explore and evaluate new opportunities to extend media impact while maintaining strong standards for brand safety, quality, and compliance.
  • Own a measurement approach that connects media investment to meaningful business outcomes, beyond channel-level efficiency metrics.
  • Foster a culture of learning through testing, experimentation, and continuous optimization.
  • Partner with analytics and technology teams to strengthen data foundations, governance, and decision-making.
  • Advance audience-centric approaches that improve relevance, consistency, and effectiveness across touchpoints.
  • Ensure privacy-forward, compliant practices are embedded in media strategy and execution in partnership with Legal, Privacy, and IT.
  • Evolve media capabilities, tools, and ways of working to improve speed, effectiveness, and accountability.
  • Lead agency relationships and performance management, ensuring strategic partnership, collaboration, and high standards of delivery.
  • Establish governance and oversight to support responsible, transparent, and scalable media operations.
