About The Position

The Auth0 Solutions Engineering Team focuses on Customer Identity and Access Management (CIAM), which is critical for digital customer experience and unlocking AI potential. Auth0 by Okta secures consumer and B2B SaaS experiences by providing a trusted, developer-centric, and neutral identity layer. This role involves leading the technical presales strategy for high-value enterprise accounts, architecting modern CIAM strategies, and driving measurable business outcomes. The Okta Solutions Engineering team combines deep technical architecture with commercial insight to advise large, strategic enterprises on CIAM strategies that deliver seamless, secure digital journeys.

Requirements

Substantial presales or architectural background specifically within Customer Identity and Access Management (CIAM), developer platforms, or consumer-facing digital identity ecosystems.
4+ years of directly managing and scaling a high-performing technical presales or solutions engineering team within enterprise SaaS.
Strong working comprehension of modern identity protocols and architectures, including OAuth 2.0, OpenID Connect (OIDC), SAML, Passkeys/WebAuthn, JWT, API security, and token management.
Proven ability to navigate large-scale architectural challenges, such as multi-region identity routing, tenant isolation, session management, and compliance standards (GDPR, CCPA/CPRA, HIPAA).
Demonstrated success applying value-based selling methodologies (e.g., MEDDPICC, Command of the Message) to close complex, multi-stakeholder enterprise deals.
Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with a track record of influencing cross-functional executive teams spanning Security, Product, Engineering, and Marketing.

Nice To Haves

12+ years of total technical presales, solutions architecture, or professional services experience in enterprise security or software development.
Hands-on background in full-stack web/mobile application development, API design, or modern cloud architectures (AWS, Azure, GCP).
Direct experience competing in or analyzing the broader Identity and Access Management (IAM) and Customer Identity (CIAM) competitive landscape.
Familiarity with adjacent technologies: Web Application Firewalls (WAF), bot management/fraud detection, Customer Data Platforms (CDP), and CRM ecosystems.

Responsibilities

Lead and mentor a team of approximately 10 Senior and Principal Solutions Engineers specializing in Auth0.
Drive end-to-end talent acquisition, onboarding, and professional development for the team.
Standardize and execute technical sales playbooks for complex Auth0 scenarios, including migrations, omnichannel authentication, social/passwordless login, fraud mitigation, and high-throughput events.
Oversee technical validations, proofs of concept (POCs), and architectural reviews for high-concurrency applications.
Establish metrics and KPIs to measure evaluation efficiency, technical win rates, and customer time-to-value.
Act as an active executive sponsor on Tier-1 opportunities, building advisory relationships with customer executives.
Serve as a strategic feedback channel between enterprise clients and Auth0 Product and Engineering teams.
Partner closely with Strategic Sales leadership to operationalize enterprise sales methodologies.
Collaborate with Operations, Enablement, HR, and Finance to drive strategic workforce planning and resource allocation.
