About The Position

Capital One is hiring a Senior Manager, Project Management to drive strategy and execute high-priority projects with a direct impact on the company’s bottom line. The role involves leading complex projects and programs, working with stakeholders across the company, and providing strategic and tactical partnership to support effective delivery. This is a hybrid position, with required on-site presence at the designated office in accordance with Capital One’s hybrid policy.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or military experience.
• At least 5 years of Project Management experience.
• Excellent project management, influencing, communication, and partnership skills.

Nice To Haves

• Master’s degree or MBA.
• 6+ years of Project Management experience.
• 5+ years of experience with project management platforms such as JIRA, MS Project, or Confluence.
• 4+ years of experience supporting, partnering with, or interacting with internal business clients.
• 2+ years of People Management experience.
• Experience with Lean, Agile, Six Sigma, or Business Process Management.

Responsibilities

• Lead moderate to large, complex projects and programs.
• Design, develop, and manage project plans in a complex, dynamic environment, revising plans to meet changing requirements.
• Ensure projects are appropriately documented to mitigate risk and support on-time delivery.
• Use problem-solving and influencing skills to ensure project plans deliver on their intent.
• Partner cross-functionally with project customers to provide strategic and tactical thought partnership and drive project delivery.
• Build relationships and collaborate with key stakeholders to deliver commitments.
• Influence project and program efforts effectively.
• Bring structure to work in a dynamic, complex environment through strong project management.
• Coach and develop a team of associates.
• Communicate and partner with stakeholders at all levels across the company to manage, inform, and influence outcomes.
