About The Position

As a Senior Manager, Project Manager at Capital One, you will drive strategy and execute high-priority projects with direct impact on the company’s bottom line. You will work with stakeholders across the company and lead complex project and program delivery in a dynamic environment. The role involves providing strategic and tactical partnership to project customers, influencing outcomes, and coaching and developing associates. This is a hybrid position; employees are expected to follow Capital One’s hybrid policy for required on-site presence at their designated office location.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or military experience.
• At least 5 years of Project Management experience.
• Excellent communication and partnership skills for interacting with stakeholders at all levels across the company.

Nice To Haves

• Master’s degree or MBA.
• 6 or more years of Project Management experience.
• 5 or more years of experience with project management platforms such as JIRA, MS Project, or Confluence.
• 4 or more years of experience supporting, partnering with, or interacting with internal business clients.
• 2 or more years of People Management experience.
• Experience with Lean, Agile, Six Sigma, or Business Process Management.

Responsibilities

• Lead moderate to large, complex projects and programs.
• Design, develop, and manage project plans in a complex, dynamic environment, adapting plans to changing requirements.
• Ensure projects are documented appropriately to mitigate risk and delivered on time.
• Use problem-solving and influencing skills to ensure project plans deliver on their intent.
• Partner cross-functionally with project customers, providing strategic and tactical thought partnership to drive delivery.
• Build relationships and collaborate with key stakeholders to deliver commitments.
• Influence project and program efforts to achieve desired outcomes.
• Coach and develop a team of associates.
