About The Position

The Senior Manager, People, leads the execution of strategic people initiatives to support business objectives and operational needs. This role oversees talent development, performance management, and organizational change, ensuring compliance with policies and regulations. By leveraging data analysis and fostering collaborative partnerships, the position drives continuous improvement and operational excellence. The Senior Manager provides coaching and mentorship to build high-performing teams, promotes ethical standards, and supports a positive workplace culture that enables associates to thrive and deliver exceptional results aligned with company values. This role on the Finance People team supports Walmart Claims Services (WCS), Finance Transformation, and Corporate Development. WCS is modernizing claims operations through technology and process optimization to improve outcomes for customers and associates. Finance Transformation is reshaping the global Finance function by leveraging AI and advanced analytics to elevate insight, speed, and decision-making. Corporate Development advances Walmart’s strategy through acquisitions and strategic partnerships that accelerate growth and expand capabilities.

Requirements

  • Proven expertise in human resource management and organizational change management to support strategic business goals.
  • Strong ability to analyze and interpret data to inform decision-making and improve operational efficiency.
  • Experience in talent planning, associate engagement, and developing high-performing teams through coaching and mentoring.
  • Demonstrated capability to manage compliance with laws, regulations, and company policies effectively.

Responsibilities

  • Lead execution of business plans by identifying needs, setting priorities, and removing obstacles to enhance performance.
  • Supervise and develop associates through training, mentoring, performance evaluations, and recognition.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and ethical standards by providing guidance and training.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to evaluate and improve operational efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
  • Define and implement people strategies aligned with business goals and organizational change initiatives.
  • Analyze people and business data to inform decisions, identify risks, and recommend improvements.
  • Maintain compliance with applicable laws and regulations, ensuring confidentiality and integrity of information.
