About The Position

MaxLinear is seeking a Senior Manager or Director of RF/Mixed-Signal Design to lead and grow its RF/Mixed-Signal Design team in Irvine and Carlsbad. The team develops IP for 200G and 400G data center SERDES applications, including DSPs, drivers, and TIAs. The role works closely with senior technical leads on design and architecture selection and owns execution from concept through tape-out and production release. The position includes developing team members through coaching, performance management, and career growth; managing schedules, staffing, risk, and delivery; establishing design-review and tape-out readiness standards for quality and manufacturability; and collaborating with Systems, Digital, CAD, and Technology teams to improve design flows and methodology. The role also works with customers from development through production release and represents the team in executive technical and business reviews. MaxLinear describes its total compensation as including base salary and eligibility for an annual discretionary bonus; many positions also include stock-based compensation. The stated starting base salary ranges are $222,000–$285,000 annually for Senior Manager and $205,000–$272,000 annually for Director. Requirements

Extensive analog/mixed-signal or RF IC design experience in advanced CMOS, with a proven tape-out and productization record.
Proven record of growing engineering teams, including hiring senior talent.
Strong communication and executive presentation skills, and customer-facing experience.
For Senior Manager: BS in Electrical Engineering or a related field plus 11 years of experience, or MS plus 9 years, or Ph.D. plus 6 years.
For Director: BS in Electrical Engineering or a related field plus 13 years of experience, or MS plus 11 years, or Ph.D. plus 8 years.

Responsibilities
