About The Position

The Senior Manager, Operations oversees and coordinates the day-to-day operations of the Operations teams, working with internal departments and external partners to ensure efficient transportation and logistics processes. This is a leader-of-leaders role that requires developed leadership skills and the ability to drive results. The position is based in Fort Worth, Texas, and is full time.

The role develops and implements strategies to improve efficiency, reduce costs, and increase profitability; monitors operational performance and compliance; provides reports to management; and identifies continuous improvement opportunities. A bachelor's degree in transportation and logistics, supply chain management, or a related field is preferred. At least eight years of transportation and logistics management experience is required, with contract logistics experience preferred. The expected annual base pay range is $125,000–$140,000.

Requirements

• A minimum of 8 years of experience in transportation and logistics management.
• Strong organizational and project management skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Knowledge of transportation and logistics regulations and compliance.
• Analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
• Fluent English, both oral and written.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.

Nice To Haves

• Bachelor's degree in transportation and logistics, supply chain management, or a related field.
• Experience in the contract logistics industry.
• Certification in transportation and logistics, such as Certified Transportation Professional (CTP) or Certified Logistics Professional (CLP).
• Experience with transportation management software (TMS).

Responsibilities

• Oversee department daily operations to ensure processes run smoothly and efficiently.
• Coordinate with internal departments, including sales and customer service, to meet customer needs.
• Develop and implement transportation and logistics strategies to improve efficiency, reduce costs, and increase profitability.
• Collaborate with external partners, including carriers and suppliers, to maintain relationships and ensure reliable transportation services.
• Monitor transportation and logistics performance metrics and implement corrective actions when necessary.
• Conduct regular audits of transportation and logistics processes to ensure compliance with company policies and regulations.
• Provide timely and accurate reports on transportation and logistics activities to management.
• Identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives to optimize transportation and logistics operations.
