Senior Operations Manager
About The Position
The Senior Operations Manager oversees fulfillment operations, implementing practices that promote efficiency, accuracy, and cost-effectiveness. The role focuses on optimizing processes, managing performance metrics, and leading high-performing teams. It involves analyzing data, implementing process improvements, and driving operational excellence through strategic planning, workforce management, and cross-functional collaboration to support business growth and operational goals. The position leads warehouse and fulfillment operations and is responsible for performance measurement, cost-effectiveness, team development, process improvement, forecasting, and compliance. Additional responsibilities may be assigned by the Director of Fulfillment.
Requirements
- 8–10 years of senior management experience in fulfillment operations, logistics, or supply chain management in a P&L environment.
- Must be able to lift 50 pounds independently and up to 80 pounds with assistance.
- Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods.
Nice To Haves
- Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, Operations Management, Logistics, or a related field.
- Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt certification.
Responsibilities
- Lead warehouse and fulfillment operations, ensuring efficiency, accuracy, and compliance with company standards.
- Develop and manage KPIs, labor metrics, and data analytics to optimize performance and drive improvements.
- Develop strategies to maximize cost-effectiveness measures and processes throughout fulfillment operations.
- Manage and mentor teams, fostering accountability, safety, and continuous learning.
- Implement Lean and Six Sigma methodologies to improve operational workflows and reduce waste.
- Drive forecasting and data analysis to enhance decision-making and resource allocation.
- Collaborate with Training, QC, HR, and Facilities to align warehouse objectives with business goals.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and regulatory requirements.
- Spearhead process improvements to increase efficiency and scalability in warehouse operations.
- Perform additional responsibilities as assigned by the Director of Fulfillment.
