About The Position

The Senior Manager, Operations leads the execution of complex projects and programs by managing timelines, resources, and performance metrics to ensure successful implementation. This role provides strategic decision support through data analysis and cross-functional collaboration, driving business efficiency and innovation. The position oversees project management, develops operational tools, and fosters strong partnerships to meet organizational goals. Additionally, it supports team development by mentoring and coaching, while upholding company policies and ethical standards. The role demands adaptability, continuous improvement, and a focus on delivering measurable results aligned with business objectives. The team leads the development and execution of layout, design, and capacity strategies supporting Walmart U.S. in-store fulfillment operations. Collaborating closely with Real Estate, Field Operations, and Store Design, the team ensures stores are optimized to meet evolving fulfillment needs. Responsibilities include reviewing space designs, supporting construction projects, monitoring capacity constraints, and planning special initiatives. The team also enables metadata support for cross-functional partners, fostering efficient project execution and operational improvements. Focused on creating an effective work environment, the team drives business goals through strong collaboration and strategic planning across multiple functions.

Requirements

  • Proven expertise in operations and project management, with the ability to lead complex initiatives and manage multiple work streams effectively.
  • Strong analytical skills to interpret data, identify trends, and translate insights into actionable business recommendations.
  • Experience in developing and implementing business solutions that improve efficiency, reduce costs, and support strategic goals.
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate cross-functionally, building partnerships and influencing stakeholders to drive execution.
  • Demonstrated experience communicating with executive leadership, navigating complex business discussions, and developing concise executive summaries that support strategic decision-making and business growth.
  • Skilled in managing budgets, and prioritizing assignments to meet business objectives.
  • Leadership experience in mentoring, coaching, and developing high-performing teams.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Engineering, Operations, or related field and 3 years’ experience in operations, project management, or related area OR 5 years’ experience in operations, project management, or related area.
  • 1 year’s supervisory experience.
