About The Position

Yourgi is building a marketplace and software platform to connect pet parents with certified pet-care professionals, resorts, and veterinary centers. The platform supports bookings for grooming, boarding, daycare, and training, business tools for independent professionals, and bookings at Destination Pet locations. The Senior Manager of Engineering Services will build Yourgi’s engineering services function from the ground up, covering DevOps, SRE, release engineering, infrastructure as code, data pipelines, security operations, and data governance. This hands-on leader will manage a small team of DevOps and SRE engineers, including nearshore team members, and establish operational practices for product teams. The role focuses on reliable deployments and rollbacks, production visibility, and trustworthy data. The position is remote within the United States. Applicants must be authorized to work in the US; visa sponsorship is not available. The role reports to the VP of Engineering. Compensation is a $190,000 base salary plus a 10% bonus. During the first 30 days, the manager will inventory pipelines, environments, AWS accounts, alerts, data pipelines, and production access permissions; establish baseline monitoring; and review operational and security risks with the VP of Engineering. By day 60, the manager will launch an on-call rotation and incident-management process, deliver at least one pipeline with automated deployment and rollback, publish initial security and data-handling standards, and establish operational reporting. By day 90, the manager will define SLOs and paging alerts for five key customer journeys, transition most production services to CI/CD, provide the first DORA and cloud-cost report to leadership, and establish an agreed team hiring plan.
