About The Position

The Senior Manager, Mechanical Construction, leads and oversees multiple construction projects, ensuring adherence to budgets, schedules, and regulatory compliance. This role provides strategic guidance to cross-functional teams, manages contractor relationships, and enforces performance standards to deliver quality outcomes. The position requires strong leadership in mentoring associates, resolving project challenges, and driving continuous improvement. By collaborating with internal and external stakeholders, the Senior Manager ensures projects meet operational and business objectives while maintaining high standards of integrity, safety, and efficiency throughout all phases of construction. The team oversees mechanical construction projects including remodels, new stores, and asset replacements. Collaborating with cross-functional stakeholders and contractors, they ensure installations are safe, code-compliant, and high-quality while meeting schedule, budget, and operational goals. The team manages project scopes, enforces compliance with regulations, and drives continuous improvement. Leadership focuses on effective communication, resource coordination, and performance management to deliver successful outcomes with minimal disruption to store operations. Requirements

  • Extensive experience in construction and project management with a strong focus on mechanical construction.
  • Proven ability to manage budgets, including reviewing and tracking preconstruction and ongoing budget reports.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills in guiding cross-functional teams and mentoring associates.
  • Expertise in ensuring compliance with construction laws, regulations, and company standards.
  • Strong skills in coordinating project schedules, resolving conflicts, and managing contractor relationships.
  • Ability to drive business plans, remove obstacles, and adapt to changing priorities.
  • Commitment to maintaining high standards of integrity, ethics, and operational excellence.
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Architecture, or related field and 3 years' experience in construction management, construction administration, engineering, architecture, or related area OR 5 years' experience in construction management, construction administration, engineering, architecture, or related area.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee mechanical construction projects ensuring adherence to budgets, schedules, and quality standards.
  • Review and approve contractor payments, change orders, and invoices while managing project scope and contingencies.
  • Enforce compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and company standards by monitoring contractor performance and addressing noncompliance.
  • Lead cross-functional teams by providing guidance on construction initiatives, design changes, and best practices.
  • Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to resolve conflicts and ensure timely material procurement and delivery.
  • Represent the company with municipalities and public officials to maintain project quality and compliance.
  • Develop and implement business plans, removing obstacles to optimize project execution and performance.
