About The Position

The Aspen Group (TAG) is a leading retail healthcare business support organization in the U.S., supporting thousands of healthcare professionals across various categories like dental care, urgent care, medical aesthetics, and animal health. TAG partners with independent practice owners and clinicians to improve healthcare experiences. This role is within the Learning and Development team at Aspen Dental, focusing on creating and implementing development strategies and programs for doctors and practice owners. The Senior Manager will collaborate with senior leaders, clinical support teams, and other departments like L&D, Talent Management, and HR to design and deliver effective learning solutions. This role requires a strong performance consultant who can build foundational knowledge and capabilities, accelerate performance, manage complex projects, demonstrate business impact through data, and be hands-on in developing solutions.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s Degree preferred.
  • A minimum of 7+ years of relevant learning and development experience, ideally in a fast-paced organization with a distributed workforce.
  • Advanced understanding of adult learning theory and principles.
  • Strong business insight, with the ability to credibly make a business case by linking current and anticipated business challenges with learning and development solutions.
  • Well versed in digital learning, just-in-time / micro-learning, and blended learning strategies.
  • Strong capabilities in data analytics as it pertains to measuring learning.
  • Highly proficient using eLearning authoring tools (Articulate etc.) and Microsoft Office Suite (i.e., multiple Outlook accounts, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, etc.) and Zoom (including a portfolio of work examples).
  • Experience providing consultation to senior leadership on strategic initiatives.
  • Excellent communication and influencing skills at all levels in the organization.
  • Extremely flexible to be proactive in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment.
  • Excellent facilitation and mentoring skills.
  • Experience in group facilitation and leading group/cohort dynamics in order to create connections and foster understanding.
  • Ability to travel as needed.

Nice To Haves

  • Understanding of DSOs (dentistry service organizations) or similar medical industries desirable.
  • Experience leading learning in this field is preferred.
  • Previous experience developing onboarding processes and programming.

Responsibilities

  • Support and enable the successful development of doctor and practice owner roles.
  • Develop strategy to enable successful development at all stages, including onboarding.
  • Partner with senior leaders, the Clinical Support team, owners, and broader L&D, Talent Management, and HR teams to understand developmental needs (clinical, operational, leadership, professional development, business management).
  • Design and deliver a suite of highly effective learning solutions, programs, tools, and resources, which may include formal learning programs, experiential learning assignments, and coaching.
  • Understand specific learner needs to advocate and adapt for their specific needs and preferences.
  • Evaluate existing programs/content for impact and alignment with organizational needs.
  • Provide recommendations for learning experiences that increase reach, impact, and future capability requirements.
  • Use data to measure success, learn, iterate, and improve; analyze trends and develop proactive actions to improve the experience.
