About The Position

The Senior Manager, Infrastructure leads the infrastructure engineering team in designing and building core infrastructure capabilities, including cloud and on-premises systems, backup systems, databases, data centers, and virtualization environments. The role ensures systems are properly documented and continually monitored to support uptime goals. It also leads collaboration with the support team and provides Tier 3 support for incidents as needed, while advocating for security through its design and implementation across systems. The role manages infrastructure professionals across cloud engineering, systems engineering, database administration, and systems architecture, including performance management and achievement of team and department goals. It provides technical guidance across the company, manages third-party service providers and their performance, responds to incidents, tracks operational metrics, maintains quarterly updates to technical architecture documentation, and participates in change and problem management. The position works cross-functionally to provide technical recommendations and help achieve corporate objectives.

Responsibilities

Manage infrastructure professionals in cloud engineering, systems engineering, database administration, and systems architecture, including performance management and team and department goals.
Guide technical areas across the company to integrate appropriate technical requirements and security into systems, processes, and applications.
Work with third-party service providers to ensure system health, identify potential concerns, and manage provider performance and relationships.
Respond to incidents and track key metrics while ensuring monthly goals are achieved.
Create and maintain company technical architecture documentation and update it quarterly to reflect the environment accurately.
Participate in change management and problem management processes as required.
Ensure systems and applications are accurately monitored and track monitoring, alerting, and response metrics.
Work cross-functionally to support corporate objectives by providing technical recommendations and collaborating with third parties.
Lead the design and buildout of core infrastructure capabilities, including cloud, on-premises systems, backups, databases, data centers, and virtualization.
Ensure systems are documented and continually monitored to support uptime goals.
Work with the support team and provide Tier 3 incident support as needed.
Advocate for security by ensuring it is designed and implemented across systems.
