About The Position

Benchmark Gensuite is seeking a Senior Manager, Global Events and Conferences to lead and evolve its global events program. The role owns a 12–18-month event calendar covering major industry trade shows and membership-association conferences, the flagship IMPACT customer conference, and regional conferences in locations including Amsterdam, Shanghai, Goa, and San Luis Potosí. The goal is to build a disciplined, revenue-connected portfolio that is coordinated across teams and regions and continuously improved using data and AI. The role leads end-to-end planning and on-site execution for international customer conferences, balancing a consistent brand and subscriber experience with local market norms. It coordinates Sales, Product Marketing, Customer Success, Partnerships, Executive Leadership, regional teams, vendors, and speakers to turn their goals into coherent event plans. The position also develops scalable planning systems and playbooks, owns portfolio budgeting and vendor relationships, and evaluates where the company should participate, sponsor, exhibit, speak, or host. The Senior Manager defines and reports event performance measures, including pipeline, cost-per-meeting, subscriber engagement and retention signals, and executive or analyst relationship value. They use AI and automation to improve planning, staffing, budgeting, follow-up, and measurement; regularly reassess the portfolio; and lead a small team of coordinators and external production, AV, and logistics partners. This is a strategy-and-execution role that includes both long-range planning and hands-on event work.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of experience in field marketing, global events, or event marketing leadership within enterprise B2B SaaS; experience in a complex, regulated, or technical category is ideal.
  • Track record of owning a global, multi-region event portfolio that includes trade shows, industry-association conferences, and proprietary customer conferences, with pipeline or revenue accountability.
  • Ability to plan 12+ months ahead and participate in hands-on, on-site execution.
  • Experience managing international in-person events, including vendors and cultural and logistical considerations outside the U.S.
  • Strong cross-functional influence and ability to align Sales, Product Marketing, and executive stakeholders around shared plans and priorities.
  • Comfort using AI tools and data to improve event planning, budgeting, lead follow-up, and reporting.
  • Resilient, even-keeled approach to live-event challenges and ability to keep programs and teams steady under pressure.
  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or equivalent experience.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in a subscription- or compliance-driven market, or a safety- or sustainability-adjacent market.
  • Familiarity with membership-association conference dynamics, including sponsorship tiers, speaking-slot politics, and standing committee relationships.
  • Experience building or scaling a regional-conference model from a single flagship event.

Responsibilities

  • Build and own a global event calendar 12–18 months in advance, spanning trade shows, membership-association conferences, IMPACT, and international regional conferences.
  • Determine where Benchmark Gensuite should participate, sponsor, exhibit, speak, or host, based on audience fit, pipeline potential, and brand value.
  • Own the event portfolio budget; negotiate sponsorships and contracts; manage vendor and venue relationships across regions; and make investment trade-offs.
  • Lead end-to-end planning and on-site execution for international customer conferences in coordination with regional leaders, local vendors, and global content and speaker teams.
  • Maintain a consistent brand and subscriber experience across regional conference editions while adapting to local market norms and relationships.
  • Coordinate Sales, Product Marketing, Customer Success, Partnerships, Executive Leadership, and regional teams to translate their goals into coherent event plans.
  • Create and maintain planning cadences, systems, and playbooks for pre-show planning, booth and space design, speaker and executive preparation, lead capture and routing, and post-show follow-up.
  • Standardize the global event motion across focus regions and plan schedules well in advance while balancing budget, growth needs, and emerging opportunities.
  • Assemble the appropriate teams for events based on business needs and strategic market-engagement goals.
  • Define and own event KPIs, including pipeline sourced or influenced, cost-per-meeting, subscriber engagement and retention signals, and executive or analyst relationship value.
  • Report event results with rigor and use AI and automation to improve event planning, staffing, measurement, budget modeling, follow-up, and speaker or content recommendations.
  • Reassess the event portfolio, recommend discontinuing underperforming events or investing further in high-value events, pilot new formats, and build business cases for changes.
  • Lead, coach, and develop a small team of coordinators and manage external production, AV, and logistics partners.
  • Build working relationships with regional GMs, Sales leadership, Customer Success, and Product teams to support coordinated global event execution.
