About The Position

The Senior Manager, Engineering BS and Business MS Honors Program provides concierge-style student case management and comprehensive support, including advising, career exploration, continuous progress monitoring, and connections to a broad network of internal and external wraparound services. The role serves as the single point of contact, helping students navigate their higher education journey toward a career by providing high-impact engagement and continuous monitoring, tracking, and support from enrollment through completion. Additionally, the position leverages emerging technology to streamline student communication, tracking, and service delivery.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in education, student development, or related field.
• Five (5) years of experience including supervisory experience
• Demonstrated experience in academic advising, success coaching, first-year experience, or retention within student services or higher education.
• Experience managing student programs.
• Demonstrated problem solving skills.
• Ability to establish strong rapport with students, faculty and staff.
• Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Relevant education and experience may be substituted as appropriate.

Nice To Haves

• More than five years of relevant experience.
• Experience working in a large academic school or college in higher education
• Demonstrated experience providing high-quality and engaging customer service.

Responsibilities

• Partner with program leadership, faculty, and other stakeholders to develop, implement, assess, and continuously improve the Honors BS in Engineering/MS in Business program. Help translate the program’s vision and goals into detailed policies, processes, student experiences, and operating practices.
• As the program evolves, identify opportunities for improvement, gather and analyze feedback and program outcomes, recommend changes, and coordinate the implementation of approved modifications to ensure the program continues to meet the needs of students and the Schools.
• Provide professional academic advising, career exploration, study abroad planning, leadership development, and relevant resource referrals, orientation, and registration assistance to assigned students.
• Serve as the central, ongoing case manager for assigned BS/MS Honors Students.
• Prepares reports, proposals, and recommendations for overall programs; keeps detailed records of assigned activities.
• Collaborate with a broad network of internal and external partners to connect students to additional support such as mentoring, internship, and study abroad.
• Collaborate across CSE to develop and implement student leadership experiences and support strategies that promote a sense of belonging and strengthen student outcomes.
• Respond to students’ inquiries via phone, email, and technology applications (i.e., Navigate, two-way texts, etc.)
• Utilize technology (Navigate, etc.) to streamline student communications, nudges, and progress monitoring.
• Develop, manage, and communicate services and resources through program promotions, class presentations, training sessions, and faculty and community collaborations.
• Participate in ongoing relevant professional development to ensure implementation of current strategies and promising practices.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
