Senior Manager, Demand Generation

Layer Health•Boston, MA
•$140,000 - $170,000

About The Position

Layer Health is hiring its first dedicated demand generation leader to own, refine, and scale the demand-generation engine at a Series A company preparing for its next stage of growth. The role turns marketing infrastructure into pipeline by designing and running integrated campaigns for a defined list of several hundred U.S. health systems, building nurture and account-based marketing programs, and partnering closely with Sales on handoffs, service-level agreements, and pipeline reporting. It is a hands-on builder role that combines strategy with direct execution. The Senior Manager will own demand-generation planning and campaign execution across the company’s quality- and clinical-focused solutions; account-based marketing; marketing operations and measurement; marketing-to-sales alignment; demand programs for conferences and events; and demand-generation vendors and tooling. The role includes administering HubSpot and maintaining its connection to Salesforce, as well as developing campaign, engagement, and pipeline reporting and evolving attribution as the program matures. Layer Health, founded in 2023 by machine-learning researchers from MIT and Harvard Medical School, is building an AI platform to synthesize information from medical records and reduce friction in healthcare. Its first product accelerates clinical registry abstraction for health systems in areas including surgery, cardiology, and oncology.

  • Ability and willingness to serve as the marketing operations administrator.
  • Proven ownership of paid media on platforms such as LinkedIn and Google, including audience strategy, creative testing, and budget management against pipeline targets.
  • Ability to write persona-specific copy within defined positioning and messaging guidelines, and to identify when claims need supporting sources.
  • A hands-on, builder-oriented approach and comfort working at startup pace.
  • Analytical judgment and honesty with data, including distinguishing proven results from projections.
  • Strong partnership skills with Sales and a view of pipeline as a shared number.
