About The Position

The Senior Manager, Data Management Operations, oversees day-to-day operations for the Security Reference team within Global Data Services (GDS), part of Fidelity Fund and Investment Operations. The role ensures data quality, operational efficiency, and risk management while balancing workload, priorities, team capacity, and employee development. It works with business, technology, customer, and systems partners to resolve complex data inquiries and deliver data solutions, and leads operational projects from planning through execution.

The position also develops and maintains policies, procedures, and controls; drives continuous improvement; uses database queries and analysis to resolve client and operational issues; and represents the team in product forums and industry initiatives. People leadership responsibilities include hiring, coaching, and performance management. The team manages investment reference data supporting trading, accounting, compliance, performance, and analytics across Fidelity.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, or a related field.
• Financial services experience, preferably within reference data, market data, or investment operations.
• Proven experience leading teams and managing operational or strategic projects.
• Leadership experience coaching and developing teams of 8 or more associates.
• Ability to lead cross-functional initiatives and drive outcomes in a dynamic environment.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Experience with SQL and data analysis tools.
• Knowledge of data management, data quality, data modeling, and data visualization concepts.
• Strong organizational and project management skills, including managing competing priorities and tight deadlines.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to simplify complex issues for diverse audiences.
• Collaborative, adaptable, and motivated, with a continuous improvement mindset.
