About The Position

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced individual to join our Strategy Division as a Senior Manager/Director of the Consumer Market Insights team. The successful candidate will lead a team responsible for driving consumer-centric strategies by providing actionable insights derived from market research and category sales analysis.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Statistics, or a related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
  • 7 years of experience in consumer insights, market research, or related roles in beauty category or CPG industry
  • Proven track record of developing and implementing successful consumer research strategies that drive business impact.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data sets and translate insights into actionable recommendations.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively communicate insights to diverse stakeholders.
  • Strategic thinker with a forward-thinking mindset and a passion for innovation.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities with attention to detail.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct extensive market research to gather data on consumer preferences, buying patterns, and demographic trends within the beauty categories (Cosmetics, Hair, etc.). This includes analyzing sales data, conducting surveys, and monitoring social media channels to identify emerging trends and consumer sentiments.
  • Identify key factors driving purchasing decisions by studying consumer behavior. This may include factors such as price sensitivity, brand loyalty, ingredient preferences, and the influence of influencers and celebrities.
  • Monitor competitors to understand their product offerings, pricing strategies, and marketing tactics. This helps in identifying areas of opportunity and potential threats to the brand's market share.
  • Guide product development efforts with consumer insights gathered. By understanding consumer needs and preferences, the position can provide valuable input to product development teams to create new products or improve existing ones.
  • Inform marketing strategies tailored to the target audience within the beauty category. This includes identifying the most effective channels for reaching consumers, crafting messaging that resonates with their needs and desires, and developing promotional campaigns that drive engagement and sales.
  • Based on consumer insights and market trends, the position helps in forecasting demand for beauty products and planning inventory levels accordingly. This ensures that the brand can meet consumer demand while minimizing excess inventory or stockouts.
  • Provide recommendations for enhancing the overall customer experience. This may include optimizing packaging design, improving product formulations, or enhancing the online shopping experience.
