In this key role, you will provide both day-to-day and strategic support within the Human Resources Department’s Administration Division, serving as a trusted partner to the Senior Director of Human Resources. Your responsibilities will span complex and essential functions including budget development and monitoring, contract and vendor management, council report and agenda coordination, departmental and workforce reporting, Personnel Board liaison duties, leadership support, and facilities and equipment oversight. You will also lead high-impact projects that enhance HR operations, elevate service delivery, and strengthen organizational performance. Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Public or Business Administration, or a related field from an accredited educational institution.
  • Five years of senior level professional experience.
  • Must reside in the State of Arizona during active employment.
  • Ability to successfully complete a post-offer, pre-employment background screening, which may include fingerprinting and criminal background screening.

  • Prior knowledge and experience with human resources related programs and services is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide day-to-day and strategic support within the Human Resources Department’s Administration Division.
  • Serve as a trusted partner to the Senior Director of Human Resources.
  • Manage budget development and monitoring.
  • Oversee contract and vendor management.
  • Coordinate council reports and agendas.
  • Handle departmental and workforce reporting.
  • Perform Personnel Board liaison duties.
  • Provide leadership support.
  • Manage facilities and equipment oversight.
  • Lead high-impact projects that enhance HR operations, elevate service delivery, and strengthen organizational performance.
