Uare.ai is hiring a Senior Machine Learning Engineer to deploy its Human Life Model (HLM) on Azure OpenAI within a Department of Defense Impact Level 5 (IL5) boundary and demonstrate that it performs as well as the commercial system. The HLM captures seven dimensions of an individual, with each person’s data kept separate from other people’s models. The role includes deploying and tuning Azure OpenAI and Azure AI Speech in Azure Government; migrating retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) and HLM pipelines to Azure Government services while keeping data within the boundary; building and reporting evaluations for accuracy, grounding, and refusals; documenting model versions, prompts, approved images, and data lineage for the Authorization to Operate (ATO); and bringing Voice Capture to Azure AI Speech in IL5. The engineer will also build access control and audit logging with a full-stack engineer. This is an in-person role five days per week across Uare.ai’s San Francisco and Los Altos offices, with occasional travel to customer sites. The position reports to the CTO. U.S. citizenship is required, and candidates must be able to pass a U.S. government background investigation. An active clearance is a plus. The expected annual base salary is $200,000–$260,000, with equity and a comprehensive benefits package for full-time employees.
