About The Position

Uare.ai is hiring a Senior Full Stack Engineer to own the end-to-end deployment of its platform in a U.S. Department of Defense Impact Level 5 (IL5) environment. The role covers the application, infrastructure, security controls, and authorization work, in coordination with a prime contractor and government customers. The engineer will deploy and harden the platform in Azure Government, build access controls and audit logging, maintain approved container images against STIGs and scans, implement CAC/PKI login and FIPS-validated encryption, handle CUI, and own security documentation with the prime contractor's compliance team. The role also ships features across the product stack so the government and commercial platforms remain in sync. The position is based in person five days a week across Uare.ai's San Francisco and Los Altos offices, with occasional travel to customer sites. It reports to the CTO. U.S. citizenship and the ability to pass a U.S. government background investigation are required; an active clearance is a plus. The stated expected annual base salary range is $150,000–$250,000 USD, with equity and a comprehensive benefits package for full-time employees.

  • Working knowledge of the DoD Cloud Computing SRG, NIST SP 800-53 and 800-171, STIGs, and the RMF/ATO process.
  • Strong skills with Azure containers, identity, storage, and monitoring; infrastructure as code; and CI/CD in locked-down environments.
  • Ability to pass a U.S. government background investigation.
  • When applying, provide an example of an IL5 system built or operated, describing the applicant's role, stack, and how it reached ATO; do not include classified information or CUI.
