About The Position

Uare.ai is hiring a Forward Deployed Engineer to work directly with customers, build their Individual AIs, connect those AIs to customer systems, and ensure deployments work. The role supports U.S. government contracts and requires U.S. citizenship. Customer deployments vary, and insights gathered in the field help shape future product development. The position is in person five days a week across the San Francisco and Los Altos offices, with regular travel to customer sites, including government facilities. It reports to the CTO. Expected annual base compensation is $130,000–$170,000, plus equity and a comprehensive benefits package for full-time employees.

Requirements

U.S. citizenship is required because the role supports U.S. government contracts.
At least 3 years of experience as a software, solutions, or forward deployed engineer working directly with customers.
Strong skills in Python or TypeScript, APIs, and data pipelines.
Hands-on experience with LLMs, RAG, or AI features in production.
Ability to explain technical work in plain language and remain calm in customer-facing situations.
Willingness to travel to customer sites, including government facilities.

Nice To Haves

Experience with government or regulated deployments, such as IL5, FedRAMP, or HIPAA, ideally on Azure.
An active security clearance.
Customer-facing engineering experience at an AI or early-stage company.

Responsibilities

Scope, configure, and launch customer deployments from kickoff through first use.
Turn customer documents, recordings, and expertise into working Individual AIs.
Connect Uare.ai to customer tools, data sources, and sign-in systems.
Onboard teams, lead guided tests, and collect structured feedback.
Debug issues on site and communicate needed fixes to engineering.
Translate recurring customer work into product features and playbooks.
