About The Position

General Dynamics Mission Systems is hiring a Senior M365 and Power Platform Developer to design and deliver modern digital solutions that enhance collaboration, process automation, knowledge management, and data-driven decision-making across the enterprise. The role spans SharePoint, Power Platform, Microsoft 365 services, and emerging AI capabilities in the Microsoft ecosystem. The developer will work with a collaborative team and technical and non-technical stakeholders to support secure, scalable solutions for defense and intelligence missions.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience, plus 8 years of related experience; alternatively, a master's degree plus 6 years of related experience.
U.S. citizenship is required due to the nature of the work performed within the facilities.
Strong proficiency in Microsoft 365 application development, including SharePoint Online, Power Apps, Power Automate, Dataverse, and Microsoft Teams extensions.
Experience developing custom solutions with SharePoint Framework (SPFx), TypeScript/JavaScript, React, HTML5, and CSS.
Hands-on experience with Microsoft Graph API, REST APIs, and custom connector development.
Experience with Power Platform AI capabilities, including AI Builder, document processing models, sentiment analysis, prediction models, and generative AI integrations.
Experience using Microsoft Copilot Studio to build conversational bots and automate knowledge workflows.
Experience with solution lifecycle management in Power Platform, including pipelines, source control, and environment governance.
Understanding of M365 security, compliance, identity, and role-based access controls.
Ability to design and implement scalable data models in Dataverse, SQL, or other structured storage systems.
Proficiency in PowerShell scripting for automation and tenant-level administration.
Strong understanding of Agile development methodologies, DevOps principles, and CI/CD practices.
Experience with web applications, IIS, Windows-based hosting concepts, and integration patterns.
Excellent problem-solving and communication skills, with the ability to partner with technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Nice To Haves

A certified application developer credential indicating advanced or expert application development knowledge is strongly preferred.
Familiarity with Azure OpenAI, Azure Cognitive Services, or similar Microsoft ecosystem AI/ML capabilities.
Previous use of Codex or Claude.
Understanding of cloud architecture and Azure fundamentals.
Experience in a regulated environment.
Experience with Azure Functions, Logic Apps, Azure Automation, or serverless integration patterns.

Responsibilities

Design and develop Microsoft 365 applications and solutions, including SharePoint Online, Power Apps, Power Automate, Microsoft Teams extensions, and related services.
Build scalable Power Platform solutions, including canvas apps, model-driven apps, custom connectors, and automated workflows.
Use Microsoft Copilot Studio, AI Builder, and other Microsoft 365-integrated AI tools to automate processes, classify data, extract insights, or build conversational applications.
Migrate or modernize content and solutions to Microsoft 365 and SharePoint Online.
Apply governance, security, compliance, application lifecycle management, ALM pipelines, and DevOps practices to M365 and Power Platform solutions.
Develop solutions using Agile methodologies and DevOps practices.
Create and maintain PowerShell scripts and automation for administration, reporting, and operational support across M365 and SharePoint Online.
Identify scalable solutions to business challenges and communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Collaborate with a senior team of subject matter experts while also working independently.
