Senior Living Activities & Transportation Assistant- Bozeman MT
About The Position
The Senior Living Activities & Transportation Assistant at Bozeman Lodge helps residents stay involved, enjoy their day, and participate in community outings and activities. The role combines safe transportation with support for activities, games, events, and resident engagement. The assistant may transport residents to appointments, shopping, lunch, outings, and community activities; help residents with mobility needs when entering or exiting the vehicle; and assist with walkers, wheelchairs, and belongings. When transportation is not needed, the assistant supports the Life Enrichment team with activities and programs. The position involves working independently as well as with a caring team, building relationships with residents and families, and contributing to a welcoming, positive atmosphere. Senior living experience is not required.
Requirements
- Must be at least 21 years old.
- Must have a valid driver's license and a safe driving record.
- Comfortable assisting residents with mobility needs.
- Enjoys spending time with older adults and getting out into the community.
- Friendly, patient, dependable, and upbeat.
- Able to work independently and as part of a team.
Nice To Haves
- Senior living experience is not required; dependability, enjoyment of working with people, and a heart for seniors are valued.
Responsibilities
- Safely transport residents to appointments, shopping, outings, and community activities.
- Assist residents in and out of the vehicle and help with walkers, wheelchairs, and personal belongings as needed.
- Help plan, prepare, and lead activities, games, outings, and special events.
- Encourage residents to participate and build meaningful connections.
- Help create a welcoming, positive, and fun atmosphere.
- Complete vehicle safety checks and transportation documentation.
- Assist the Life Enrichment team with activities and programs when transportation is not needed.
- Work as part of a team dedicated to improving residents’ daily experiences.
