About The Position

Inspired Living is hiring an Activities Assistant for its Inspired Living at Ivy Ridge senior living community in St. Petersburg, Florida. The role focuses on creating meaningful, engaging experiences that help residents connect, explore, learn, and thrive. The Activities Assistant gets to know residents’ interests, preferences, and goals and plans activities and events that reflect their intellectual, physical, social, and spiritual interests. The position also involves welcoming new residents, coordinating outings and transportation, developing community partnerships, managing an activities budget, and supporting a positive community culture.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Proven leadership or management experience.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• Creativity, energy, and comfort taking the lead.
• Ability to plan, coordinate, and manage multiple activities and events.
• Ability to work with residents with different abilities, interests, and personalities.
• Genuine passion for creating meaningful experiences for older adults.

Nice To Haves

• Associate or bachelor’s degree in Social Services, Business, Recreation, or a related field.
• At least 3 years of assisted living or senior living experience.
• Experience with Microsoft Word and Excel.

Responsibilities

• Learn about each resident’s interests, passions, preferences, and goals.
• Welcome new residents and introduce them to the Resident Experience program.
• Create and lead a monthly calendar of activities and events tailored to residents’ interests.
• Coordinate daily activities, entertainment, celebrations, and special events.
• Build relationships with local entertainers, vendors, organizations, and community partners.
• Coordinate resident outings, including destinations and transportation needs.
• Partner with Sales & Marketing on quarterly events that showcase the community and celebrate residents.
• Promote activities throughout the community and encourage participation.
• Manage the activities budget and make decisions about supplies, entertainment, and events.
• Support teammates and contribute to a positive community culture.
