About The Position

The Senior Linux Systems Engineer will manage and continuously improve a global enterprise server infrastructure, with a focus on Red Hat Enterprise Linux. The role includes building strategic global operations architecture with internal and external resources, implementing and maintaining Linux and server security, and supporting dedicated customer lab environments and facilities.

The position works closely with global IT and security teams across Europe, the United States, Japan, and China. Visits to German sites and international travel, including to the USA and Japan, are required; travel is listed as 10%. The engineer will maintain architecture documentation, operational processes, and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).

Requirements

• A degree in Information Technology or equivalent professional experience.
• Professional proficiency in German and English.
• Excellent communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage and continuously improve a global enterprise server infrastructure, with a focus on Red Hat Enterprise Linux.
• Build strategic global operations architecture with external and internal resources.
• Implement and maintain Linux and server security, system hardening, vulnerability management, and protection against zero-day exploits.
• Manage and support dedicated customer lab environments and facilities.
• Work closely with global IT and security teams across Europe, the US, Japan, and China.
• Maintain architecture documentation, operational processes, and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
• Visit German sites and travel internationally, including to the USA and Japan.
