About The Position

The Senior IT Site Administrator manages, secures, and optimizes the firm’s on-site IT environment, including servers, networks, and workstations, while providing high-quality, hands-on technical support to attorneys and staff. Partnering closely with the IT team and end users, this role leads site-level IT operations, resolves complex hardware, software, and document management issues, and serves as the primary escalation point to ensure dependable, secure, and high-performing systems aligned with firm standards. The ideal candidate is a proactive, solutions-driven professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment, balances strategic oversight with hands-on execution, and brings deep expertise in desktop and server operating systems, supporting infrastructure, and Microsoft Office technologies, along with effective communication skills and the ability to build trust with diverse stakeholders.

Requirements

  • Associate’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent technical certification and demonstrated relevant experience.
  • 5–7 years of progressive IT support or systems administration experience, preferably within a law firm or professional services environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to provide high-touch, deadline-driven technical support to attorneys, paralegals, and professional staff in a fast-paced professional services environment, including the ability to multitask, prioritize competing demands, and troubleshoot complex issues.
  • Proven ability to support Windows-based environments, including Windows 11 and a range of Windows server based systems, ideally within organizations undergoing technology transitions.
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Windows and Microsoft 365, including Azure, Entra, Office applications, styles, templates, and web-based document support; certification and/or equivalent experience preferred.
  • Strong understanding of document formatting standards, with exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Advanced proficiency with Adobe Acrobat Pro, including troubleshooting document issues and supporting legal document workflows.
  • Direct support of business and office applications, with strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills across primarily Windows-based environments; macOS exposure a plus.
  • Working knowledge of Active Directory, AWS, Azure and Microsoft Entra ID, including group management and enterprise application support.
  • Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot complex, multi-party technical issues, including coordination with software vendors and external service providers.
  • Experience managing IT assets, including workstation deployment, replacement, and inventory tracking.
  • Ability to function as a primary on-site IT resource, working independently while collaborating effectively with centralized IT teams, vendors, and firm leadership.
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and proactive self-starter who demonstrates initiative, sound judgment, and ownership of responsibilities.
  • Ability to exercise discretion and professionalism when handling confidential and sensitive client, attorney, and firm information.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary on-site IT support resource for the Oklahoma City office, while providing remote support for users across all firm locations.
  • Provide end-user support and troubleshooting for a Windows-based office environment, with experience supporting the MS365 ecosystem.
  • Lead day-to-day site-level IT operations, ensuring reliable, secure, and high-performing technology services aligned with firm standards, policies, and operational requirements.
  • Act as a key support resource for firmwide IT operations, collaborating closely with centralized IT teams and providing backup support to the Systems Administrator as required.
  • Manage user accounts, access, permissions, and security policies using Active Directory and related security tools.
  • Support employee onboarding and offboarding activities, including system access provisioning, equipment setup, and access removal, in coordination with HR, IT operations, and security teams.
  • Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, and connectivity issues, serving as a primary escalation point for complex technical problems and coordinating with the Systems Administrator, centralized IT teams, or vendors as appropriate.
  • Support and troubleshoot Windows Server environments, including basic server-level issues, monitoring, patching support, and coordination of maintenance activities under the direction of IT operations.
  • Maintain a working knowledge of networking infrastructure and troubleshoot connectivity, performance, and related hardware issues at the site level.
  • Support and troubleshoot virtual server infrastructure; experience with VMware is preferred.
  • Install, configure, maintain, and troubleshoot network printers, including drivers, print queues, and user access across supported offices.
  • Provide support for a wide range of software applications, including Microsoft Office, with advanced proficiency in word processing, document creation, formatting, conversion, and printing of complex legal documents.
  • Create and maintain documents, forms, templates, macros, and styles in accordance with firm branding, document standards, and best practices.
  • Assist with endpoint security, patch management, and system updates for workstations and servers to support compliance with firm security standards and data protection requirements.
  • Support backup and recovery processes by monitoring job status, validating restores when needed, and coordinating with the Systems Administrator or third-party providers.
  • Support and assist with the firm’s AI initiatives.
  • Maintain accurate inventory of IT assets, including workstations, peripherals, and site infrastructure, and assist with asset lifecycle management.
  • Coordinate with third-party vendors and service providers for hardware, software, and infrastructure support.
  • Stay current with legal software applications and emerging technologies, proactively identifying opportunities to improve efficiency, reliability, and user experience.
  • Participate in special projects and cross-functional initiatives as assigned, including providing backup support for other departments such as Marketing and Business Development.
  • Follow IT policies, procedures, and security best practices to ensure compliance, operational consistency, and protection of firm data.
