Senior Implementation Consultant

Snyk•San Francisco, CA
•$134,000 - $168,000

About The Position

Snyk is hiring a Senior Implementation Consultant to own post-sales onboarding for enterprise customers, taking them from signed contract to a working, adopted application security program. The role manages multiple implementation engagements at once and partners directly with development and security leaders to deploy the Snyk platform across their SDLC, CI/CD pipelines, and cloud infrastructure. It combines technical depth with project ownership, helping customers achieve successful rollouts and sustained platform adoption. The Customer Solutions team owns customers’ technical success after a deal closes, from initial onboarding through full platform adoption. Implementation Consultants work alongside Technical Success, Support, Sales, and Product to turn customer security goals into deployed, measurable programs. The team is expanding as Snyk’s install base grows. The consultant leads implementations from kickoff through closure, including scope, schedule, risks, and outcomes; designs rollouts suited to customers’ environments; troubleshoots integrations and configurations hands-on; and coaches customer teams on developer-first security practices. The role also contributes to repeatable onboarding materials and shares customer feedback with internal teams to improve products and enablement. Snyk describes its mission as making the digital world a safer place and says it aims to provide an inclusive, engaging environment where employees can thrive, supported by employee resource groups and global benefits related to health, wellness, financial security, and work/life blend.

Requirements

  • At least 5 years in technical consulting, professional services, or another customer-facing technical role, including hands-on SaaS software implementation.

  • A track record of running multiple concurrent customer engagements, including scoping, sequencing, and delivering them on schedule.
  • Ability to explain complex technical issues clearly to audiences ranging from individual developers to security executives.
  • Genuine interest in application security and conviction in a developer-first approach.
  • Consultative aptitude for bringing people, technology, and process together, with strong relationship-building and project management instincts.
  • Working fluency with AI-assisted tools such as Claude or Gemini, and comfort with how AI-generated code is changing customer security needs.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication, with an organized and disciplined approach to problem solving.

Nice To Haves

  • Proficiency in a scripting language such as Python, JavaScript, or another modern language.
  • Prior experience as a solutions architect, sales engineer, or technical account manager for AppSec, CI, or DevSecOps products.
  • A security certification such as CISSP, CSSLP, or CEH.
  • A Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or equivalent project management credential.
  • A Computer Science degree or equivalent programming background, and exposure to enterprise-scale web technologies and microservices.

Responsibilities

  • Own end-to-end delivery of enterprise customer implementations, from kickoff through closure, including scope, schedule, risk, and outcomes.
  • Lead complex, multi-stakeholder onboarding engagements simultaneously, setting plans and driving them to completion with limited oversight.
  • Partner with customer development and security leaders to design Snyk rollouts suited to their SDLC, CI/CD tooling, and cloud environment.
  • Run project kickoffs, planning sessions, and recurring delivery reviews, keeping stakeholders informed about status, dependencies, and risks.
  • Represent customers’ technical requirements to Snyk’s internal teams and explain platform capabilities in actionable terms for customer engineering organizations.
  • Build repeatable playbooks, templates, and technical assets to improve and scale Snyk’s onboarding practice.
  • Collaborate with Sales, Product Management, Engineering, and Support to unblock implementations and accelerate time to value.
  • Troubleshoot integration and configuration issues across source control, CI/CD, container, and cloud environments.
  • Coach customer teams on developer-first security practices to support adoption beyond the engagement.
  • Share field patterns with product and enablement teams so recurring friction can be addressed at its source.
