About The Position

This position reports to the Human Resources Manager and is responsible for partnering with business leaders and supporting all functional areas of HR, including recruiting, compensation, benefits, training and development, employee relations, performance management, employee engagement activities, compliance and administering policies and procedures.

Requirements

  • Bachelor degree in Human Resources, Business or related field, or equivalent experience, ideally supporting manufacturing and engineering organizations.
  • Five years of progressive Human Resources experience; 3 of those years in a generalist role.
  • Strong coaching, influencing and project management skills.
  • Ability to balance strategic thinking and hands-on execution.
  • Highly organized and great attention to detail.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Office tools, including Teams, Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Human Capital Management (HCM) system experience.
  • Proven strength in analysis and creative problem solving.
  • Strong initiative and has a passion for process improvement.
  • Ability to maintain employee confidence and protect the operation by keeping human resource information confidential.

Nice To Haves

  • Eight years of HR experience, 3+ as a generalist.
  • PHR / SHRM-CP or SPHR / SHRM–SCP.
  • Experience with UKG HCM system.

Responsibilities

  • Drive the full cycle recruiting process for all assigned positions, including posting positions, sourcing candidates, reviewing resumes, phone screening candidates, coordinating and conducting interviews, facilitating selection decisions and salary negotiations, administering pre-employment background checks and reference checks. Coordinate temporary staffing activities and participate at career fairs.
  • Onboard new employees and deliver new employee orientation.
  • Foster a positive work environment and be a resource for all employees regarding company policies and procedures and for those who have questions or concerns about the workplace.
  • Participate in the annual compensation planning and market benchmarking, along with advising on merit and promotional increases and administering the compensation program.
  • Conduct benefit administration responsibilities, including assisting with employee benefit questions, educating employees on our benefit and wellness offerings and supporting the annual benefit open enrollment process.
  • Partner with management on the performance management process; provide guidance on performance reviews, goal setting, and employee development plans.
  • Partner with management and counsel on employee relation issues. Conduct fair, objective, and thorough investigations as needed into workplace complaints and administer disciplinary actions as necessary in partnership with managers.
  • In partnership with management, identify training and development needs, develop training content and/or identify training resources, and deliver or coordinate the delivery of the training programs.
  • Leverage HR data to deliver actionable insights that empower business leaders to make informed, data-driven decisions.
  • Drive HR and organizational continuous improvement projects.
  • Drive employee engagement and retention strategies and foster an inclusive workplace environment.
  • Update, interpret and administer company policies and procedures to minimize risk, ensure legal compliance, and maintain operational fairness.
  • Other duties as assigned.
