Role Overview We are seeking an experienced Senior HRIS Analyst, Payroll & HR Systems to join our Human Resources team. In this role, the successful candidate will serve as a senior individual contributor with ownership over end-to-end payroll processing and the administration, configuration, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement of Workday and associated HR systems.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in human resources, Business Administration, Information Systems, Finance, or related field; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Minimum 4 years of progressive experience in payroll, HRIS administration, HR systems, or related HR operations role.
  • Minimum 2 years of hands-on HRIS experience, preferably with Workday.
  • Hands-on payroll processing experience, including regular and off-cycle payrolls, payroll reconciliations, time tracking, deductions, taxes, direct deposit, and payroll-related employee data.
  • Working knowledge of payroll compliance, wage and hour concepts, payroll taxes, internal controls, and confidential employee data handling.

Nice To Haves

  • Workday experience is strongly preferred, especially Core HCM, Payroll, Time Tracking, Absence, Benefits, reporting, business processes, integrations, or security.
  • Experience with payroll tax vendors, 401(k) contribution files, HSA contributions, equity-related payroll reporting, or payroll third-party administrators.
  • Experience with SOX controls, payroll audits, HRIS audits, or other internal control environments.
  • Prior experience supporting HRIS implementation, optimization, release testing, integration troubleshooting, or workflow configuration.
  • CPP, FPC, SHRM-CP, PHR, HRIP, Workday training, or other relevant certification preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a senior functional resource for Workday and related HR systems, supporting HR, Payroll, Finance, managers, and employees with system functionality, data integrity, troubleshooting, and process guidance.
  • Maintain and enhance HRIS configuration, including but not limited to business processes, feature adoption, payroll-related setup, reports, integrations, and security/access considerations, in alignment with approved HR and payroll processes.
  • Process bi-weekly and off-cycle payrolls accurately and on schedule, including review of payroll inputs, time tracking data, earnings, deductions, direct deposit, taxes, and payroll-related employee changes.
  • Complete post-payroll reporting, reconciliations, and funding/transmission tasks, including 401(k), HSA, Shareworks tax uploads, OSV reconciliations, and related vendor communications.
  • Create, maintain, and validate standard and ad hoc HRIS/payroll reports for HR, Finance, management, and other approved stakeholders.
  • Monitor HRIS integrations and scheduled data feeds; review integration run results; investigate errors; coordinate corrections with internal stakeholders and vendors; and maintain recurring integration schedules.
  • Provide timely, accurate, and service-oriented support to employees and managers regarding payroll, direct deposit, time tracking, Workday tasks, HR systems access, and system navigation.
  • Identify opportunities to improve payroll accuracy, system efficiency, reporting quality, user experience, and HR process consistency.
