About The Position

The Senior Grants Management Analyst provides specialized administrative and accounting work to support City-wide grant activities, including those within the Hallandale Beach Community Redevelopment Area (HBCRA). This role performs a range of routine to complex accounting, financial, compliance, and administrative functions to support programs and projects funded by grants and/or special revenue. The Senior Grants Management Analyst may represent the Grants Manager as needed and reports to the Grants Manager, who reviews work for conformity with policies and achievement of objectives.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Public or Business Administration, or related field.
  • At least five (5) years of general accounting experience or equivalent experience managing grants or contracts.
  • An equivalent combination of education, certification, training and/or experience that provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities.
  • Ability to process complex financial transactions.
  • Ability to ensure compliance with contractual requirements.
  • Ability to perform recordkeeping.
  • Ability to prepare monthly, quarterly and/or annual reporting.
  • National Incident Management System (NIMS) certification (level to be determined by job classification requirements), or obtain within one year of employment.

Responsibilities
