Senior Global Mobility and Immigration Specialist

Instacart
•$118,000 - $149,000•Remote

About The Position

Instacart is hiring a Senior Global Mobility and Immigration Specialist to own and strengthen its immigration and global mobility program. The role provides timely, accurate immigration guidance to employees on work visas and helps build a resilient program with a high-quality employee experience, a best-in-class external immigration partner, and clear internal ownership. The specialist will own the vendor relationship, partner closely with Employment Legal, shift Tier 1 support to the vendor and a contingent worker, and focus on complex cases and high-stakes situations. The goal is to create a smoother, more self-service employee immigration experience supported by documented processes rather than institutional memory. The ideal candidate is a hands-on immigration expert comfortable managing vendors and working directly on cases. They can work independently on a very small team, recognize when to escalate, communicate nuanced immigration matters clearly to employees and leaders, and handle sensitive issues with care and urgency. The role is remote under Instacart’s Flex First approach, which allows employees to choose where they work while remaining connected through regular in-person events. For US-based candidates, the annual base pay range depends on permanent work location: $141,000–$149,000 in CA, NY, CT, and NJ; $135,000–$142,500 in WA; $130,000–$137,000 in OR, DE, ME, MA, MD, NH, RI, VT, DC, PA, VA, CO, TX, IL, and HI; and $118,000–$124,500 in all other states. The role is also eligible for a new-hire equity grant and annual refresh grants. Compensation may vary based on candidate experience, skills, and location.
