In addition to general gift-processing duties, the specialist handles Athletic ticketing, donor-based seating, transfers of securities, gifts-in-kind, gifts and pledges of $10,000 or more, and payments through third parties such as donor-advised funds and foundations. The specialist also trains new and temporary employees on general gift-processing functions. The position requires attention to detail, knowledge of accounting principles, and the ability to maintain detailed and confidential work independently. During fiscal year-end, from May through mid-June, vacations and scheduled time off are not usually granted.
