About The Position

Walmart is hiring a Senior General Facilities Maintenance Technician to help maintain facilities, equipment, and assets across its stores. The role uses multiple trade skills, including plumbing, electrical, carpentry, material handling equipment, and food equipment, along with hand tools, power tools, and other equipment. The technician receives and documents repair work orders through a work order management system, responds promptly to emergency maintenance calls, and inspects, operates, or tests facilities and equipment to diagnose issues. The role also requires completing training to operate equipment and tools safely. The position requires a high school diploma or equivalent, a valid state-issued driver’s license with a clean driving record, and vocational or technical certification with five years of experience in a relevant trade. Candidates must be at least 18, have one year of experience with intermediate-level office software, and be able to meet the stated physical requirements, including lifting up to 75 pounds and frequently using ladders and working at heights.

Requirements

Be at least 18 years old.
Have a high school diploma or equivalent.
Hold a valid state-issued driver’s license with a clean driving record and be able to pass a Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) report.
Have vocational or technical certification and five years of experience in plumbing, electrical, material handling equipment, or a related trade.
Have one year of experience using intermediate-level word processing, spreadsheet, email, and presentation software, such as Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
Be able to lift up to 75 pounds.
Be able to move up and down ladders frequently.
Be comfortable working at heights frequently.

Responsibilities

Maintain and repair Walmart facilities, equipment, and assets using multiple craft skills, such as plumbing, electrical, carpentry, material handling equipment, and food equipment.
Use hand tools, power tools, and other equipment to complete jobs.
Use the work order management system to receive reactive repair work orders supporting stores and store associates, and document repair activities.
Respond promptly to emergency maintenance calls.
Inspect, operate, or test facilities, equipment, or fixtures to diagnose issues.
Complete required training to operate equipment and tools safely.
