About The Position

Walmart is seeking a Senior General Facilities Maintenance Technician to maintain and repair facilities, equipment, and assets across its stores. The role uses multiple craft skills, including plumbing, electrical, carpentry, material handling equipment, and food equipment, to diagnose and complete repairs. The technician responds to work orders and emergency maintenance calls, documents repair activities, and completes required safety training for equipment and tools. A work vehicle and tools are provided.

Requirements

Be at least 18 years old.
Have a high school diploma or equivalent.
Hold a valid state-issued driver's license with a clean driving record and be able to pass a Motor Vehicle Record report.
Have a vocational or technical certification and five years of experience in plumbing, electrical, material handling equipment, or a related trade.
Have one year of experience using intermediate-level word processing, spreadsheet, email, and presentation software, such as Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
Be able to lift up to 75 pounds.
Be able to move up and down ladders frequently.
Be comfortable working at heights frequently.

Responsibilities

Maintain and repair Walmart facilities, equipment, and assets using multiple craft skills, hand tools, power tools, and other equipment.
Use the work order management system to receive reactive repair work orders supporting stores and store associates, and document repair activities.
Respond promptly to emergency maintenance calls.
Inspect, operate, or test facilities, equipment, and fixtures to diagnose issues.
Complete all required training for safe operation of equipment and tools.
