About The Position

Walmart is seeking a Senior General Facilities Maintenance Technician to join its local and regional teams. The role maintains and repairs Walmart facilities, equipment, and assets using multiple trade skills and tools. Technicians respond to repair work orders and emergency maintenance calls, diagnose issues by inspecting and testing equipment, document repair activities, and complete required safety training. A work vehicle and tools are provided.

Requirements

Be at least 18 years old.
Have a high school diploma or equivalent.
Hold a valid state-issued driver's license, have a clean driving record, and be able to pass a Motor Vehicle Record report.
Have a vocational or technical certification and five years of experience in plumbing, electrical work, material handling equipment, or a related trade.
Have one year of experience using intermediate-level word processing, spreadsheet, email, and presentation software, such as Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
Be able to lift up to 75 pounds.
Be able to move up and down ladders frequently.
Be comfortable working at heights frequently.

Responsibilities

Maintain and repair Walmart facilities, equipment, and assets using skills such as plumbing, electrical work, carpentry, material handling equipment, and food equipment maintenance.
Use hand tools, power tools, and other equipment to complete maintenance jobs.
Use the work order management system to receive reactive repair work orders supporting stores and store associates, and document repair activities.
Respond promptly to emergency maintenance calls.
Inspect, operate, or test facilities, equipment, or fixtures to diagnose issues.
Complete required training to operate equipment and tools safely.
