Senior Frontend/Full Stack Engineer

AgentSync•Denver, CO

About The Position

AgentSync is building modern infrastructure for insurance carriers, agencies, and MGAs. The Senior Frontend/Full Stack Engineer will primarily work on the customer-facing experience of the new AgentSync App, built from the ground up in a TypeScript and React monorepo, while also contributing to Go backend-for-frontend and services as features require. The engineer will own feature quality and architecture end to end, including the user experience, APIs, and underlying service changes. The role will help shape frontend architecture, shared packages, build tooling, app boundaries, and a shared component library and design system. The team works with a high engineer-to-product-manager ratio and no dedicated designer, so engineers are expected to take ownership of product experience and make design decisions. The role also contributes to an AI-native development process, using tools such as Claude for product planning, implementation, code review, and tests, and helping refine team workflows and standards. The position requires comfort with ambiguity, strong communication and ownership, and the ability to mentor and raise engineering quality through example.

Requirements

  • At least 5 years of experience building and shipping production web applications.
  • Hands-on experience with AI-assisted development, including tools such as Claude for generating stories, writing and reviewing code, and producing tests; sound judgment about where these tools are useful.
  • Deep expertise in React and TypeScript.
  • Experience with modern frontend tooling, state management, and testing.
  • Strong web fundamentals, including HTML, CSS, accessibility, responsive design, and performance.
  • Strong design and UX sensibility, with the ability to own the experience without a dedicated designer.
  • Experience building or contributing to shared component libraries and design systems.
  • Experience working in and evolving a frontend monorepo, with a considered approach to shared packages and application boundaries.
  • Working backend experience in Go or Java, with Go preferred.
  • Solid understanding of APIs, OpenAPI-generated clients, relational data, and how full systems fit together.
  • Strong reviewer and mentor who raises a team's technical bar without managing the team.
  • Clear communicator with a strong ownership mentality, able to turn an unclear problem into a plan, align engineering and product, and surface risks and tradeoffs early.
  • Comfort with ambiguity and a scrappy, hands-on approach to ownership.
  • Must not require a work visa now or in the future.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with React Query, MUI, Vite, Vitest, or Playwright.
  • Experience on a team where AI agents build from well-written specifications.
  • Familiarity with OAuth/OIDC sign-in flows, feature flags, and frontend observability.
  • Familiarity with AWS.

Responsibilities

  • Build high-quality, accessible, performant, mobile-responsive features in React and TypeScript across multiple product areas of the new AgentSync App.
  • Own features end to end, including the React experience, APIs, service changes, and user experience.
  • Evolve the frontend monorepo, shared packages, build tooling, and boundaries between applications.
  • Help shape the direction of frontend architecture.
  • Build and extend a shared component library and design system.
  • Contribute to Go backend-for-frontend and services when needed, shaping API responses and generated types used by the UI.
  • Use Claude and other AI-assisted development tools to scope stories, write and review code, and generate tests; help improve team workflows, prompts, and standards.
  • Use AI design tools, including Claude Design where appropriate, to move from ideas to working UI.
  • Identify opportunities to add intelligent, AI-assisted experiences to the product.
  • Turn ambiguous product problems into clear, scoped, sequenced plans, and surface risks and tradeoffs early.
  • Raise quality through clean, tested code, focused pull requests, effective code reviews, and mentorship by example.
